As I had said in earlier ads, this is the follow up on how Brookshire Auto Salvage selling wrong and bad engine and then will not refund your money. Prior to March 26th 2018, I bought an engine for a 2003 Hyundai Elantra from Ricky, who is over the front retail, based on what he told me. After picking up engine and taking it back to my mechanic, he informed me right before he puts engine in that it was the wrong one. I called Ricky and explained my position that I had already paid labor on one bad engine, needed to make sure this one was ok. He assured me that the right engine he had, came from a Elantra driven in to his lot by a lady who sold them the car. So he assured me the engine was good. Brought back wrong engine & picked up right engine. My mechanic installed engine and found out it had a blown head gasket. I called Ricky to make engine good by refunding my money and see if he would help with labor, since he assured me it was a good engine. He refused to pay labor, but would refund my money on the bad engine. I explained to him that my mechanic would not remove engine and leave his bay tied up until I found another one. He said that would be fine. It took me almost 4 months to find the correct and good engine. Brought back old engine to get my refund back. Ricky told me he would have to ask the boss, about refund. He then denied the fact that he was the boss. It took me over a month of calling and asking to get an answer from Ricky and ultimately they said no, they would not refund my money, because it was over the 3 months warranty. He wouldn't consider the fact that I called him right after we discover the engine he said was good was bad, and that he wouldn't cover labor, but refund my cost of the engine. The pictures I have that you'll see are of the road sign, office, bill of sale and bad engine. Don't buy from these guys.
