• Highways & Skyways Transportation, a regional carrier based in Gastonia NC has immediate openings available for experienced owner operators. We are looking for owner-operators within about 50 miles of Charlotte.
Job Description:
• Regional OTR – Southeast Region -16 states (Frequent lanes are Charlotte to Florida, Charlotte to Tuscumbia, AL, Charlotte, NC to Olive Branch MS, and Charlotte to Louisville KY)
• 2500+ miles per week
• HOME EVERY WEEKEND (Friday or Saturday depending on the delivery schedule)
• Owner-Operators only, not company drivers.
• Owner-Operators only, no Fleet owners.
• Owner-Operator with a tractor(required)
• Sleeper tractor (required)
Compensation:
• 76% of the billed rate includes FSC ($1800-$4000 after deductions and fuel with average pay being $2600-$3000)
• Paid every Friday.
• Safety Bonus
• 1099 pay, no W-2
Highways & Skyways Transportation, LLC furnishes 53' dry van trailers. Loads are no touch, a combination of live load/ and drop/hook loads.
Owner-Operator Requirements:
• 23 years of age
• 2-3 years of CDL A experience
• Good/steady work history
• MVR – 2 or fewer violations in the last 3 years.
• No DOT reportable accidents or major violations in the last 3 years
• No Failed or refused drug test during the previous 10 years.
• No DUI or felony over the last 10 years
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
• Load and unload cargo with attention to detail and care for the products being transported.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
