Since 1970 1st Earth Day:
1) Harvard-George Wald: "Civilization will end within 15 to 30 years."
2) Paul Ehrlich: "...100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next 10 years."
3) The Progressive-Paul Ehrlich: …between 1980 and 1989, 4 billion people, including 65 million Americans, will perish in the 'Great Die-Off'.
4) North Texas State Univ.-Peter Gunter: "By the year 2000, the entire world, with the exception of W. Europe, N. America and Australia, will be in famine.
5) Life Magazine: "In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive...by1985, sunlight reaching earth reduced by one half.
6) Time-Kenneth Watt-"...light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable."
7) Paul Ehrlich: In 1970, predicted...200,000 Americans would die in 1973 during smog disasters in NY and LA.
8) Audubon-Paul Ehrlich: Predicted that Americans born since 1946 would live only 49 years. Today's life expectancy prediction in the U.S. is 78.8 years.
9) Look Magazine-Gaylord Nelson: …"in 25 years...somewhere between 75 and 80 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.
10) Alexandria Occasionally Coherent-Predicted in 2019 that the world will end in 12 years.
