condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Fender
A beautiful 2002 Fender Highway One Stratocaster- Made in USA, rare Cocoa color (only made for one year), with a rosewood fretboard. It's in Great shape, with some body checking from use, frets are in seriously great shape for being 22 years old (see pics). It weighs a nice, light 7.5lbs.

The pickups have been upgraded with Lindy Fralin Blues Special pickups (a $297.00 upgrade) with a treble bleed circuit so the treble doesn't go down as the volume is decreased. They sound simply fantastic! (I actually use Lindy Fralin pickups on ALL my electric guitars)

Here is some info on the Lindy Fralin Blues Specials, but you can look them up too:

"Are you seeking a thicker Strat sound, that still sounds like a Strat? Look no further than our Blues Specials. One of our best-selling Stratocaster sets, Blues Specials provides more output and a thicker sound while retaining that Stratocaster tone we all know and love. Manufactured by hand in Richmond, VA with 100% USA-Made materials, instantly transform your Strat into a versatile powerhouse and discover what you’ve been missing with our Blues Specials."

Note (Update 5/7/24): I have got the guitar back from the guitar tech and it plays like a dream. Nice, Low action, new strings and separate tone controls for the bridge and middle/neck. The previous owner disengaged the second tone control so the one tone control (closest to volume knob) worked on all pickups and pickup combinations, which I kinda liked but I realized most people prefer having the second tone knob dedicated to the middle/neck. So I had the guitar professionally set up to lower the string height a bit AND switch the tone control back to where the first control works on the bridge pickup and the second tone works on the middle/neck. (this will probably cost around $110 but I want this guitar to be as great as possible for whoever purchases it)

It comes with a very nice Fender brand TSA case (keys included). Tremolo bar also included. I don't have a back cover for the tremolo, (but everyone seems to take them off these days anyway, thanks SRV).

You can see the two little screw holes on the headstock from the second string tree that was removed years ago before I got the guitar, but I personally never felt this second string was ever needed on any Fenders I've owned. And it has brand new Ernie Ball .010 strings on it, so you may want lighter or heavier gauge strings depending on your preference (i.e: are you a SRV fan/heavy strings or BB King fan/ultra light!).

Please let me know if you have any questions. You will not be disappointed with the look or sound of this wonderful Amercan-made Fender strat!
