make / manufacturer: Keilwerth
model name / number: Bundy special tenor sax

This sax is just prior to the couf era keilwerth horns. The body tube is identical except their is no high f sharp tonehole. The keywork is nearly identical except this horn ha real MOP key touches and they became plastic during the couf and late keilwerth era. This has the same rolled toneholes as the superba1. The other differences are the body to bell brace and of course the engraving. If this were a superba one it would fetch 1750 dollars in this condition. It's had dent removal and a few resolders but all professionally done. If the bare brass bothers you where the dent removal was done you could spot lacquer those areas. It's not an overhauled horn but all but 4 of the pads have been replaced and it plays low b flat to a whisper. All in all it's a decent looking horn and would suit a pro player as a backup or it would be a fine instrument for a doubler or someone on a budget that wants a pro sound. Keilwerth copied the dimensions of the 10m body tube and put modern keywork on. This is a killer buy. In addition to replacing numerous pads the octave mechanism was broken and it cost me a hundred dollars for a junker horn that only had the octave mechanism left. Even if you had the skills to repair you won't find one of these in sound playing condition for less or this money with you doing the work that's billed at 40- 100 dollars an hour depending on where you go. I've included a few pictures from my days in The Air Force Band as a civilian musician. This is left from when I closed my repair shop. It's a bargain because it plays. Thanks for looking
