This bass is a 2003 Essence, and is in pristine condition. It has never left my smoke-free home studio. I’m the second owner, and for the most part, it’s been a “closet queen” for much of its existence. Overall, the condition is a solid 9.8 of 10.
It has a beautiful (3D quality) quilted maple top, and a 5-piece neck with an ebony fretboard. The back of the neck has a satin finish that blends perfectly into the gloss of the body and back of the headstock…a very smooth feeling and comfortable neck.
This bass plays great, and can cover just about any genre of music…rock, jazz, funk, blues, etc. The artists that play Alembics are all over the spectrum...these are special basses.
