condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Taylor
model name / number: T5-S1
Selling a guitar that I never thought I'd sell, but I now have a T5Z custom shop model so I need to let one go. I chose this one because it will be lower priced and is hopefully easier to sell.

This is a 2011 Taylor T5-S1 with the quilted maple top. It also has a custom-made adhesive pickguard that is not common to find (see close-up photo) - peels right off if you don't like it, but I highly recommend it. (I even made one myself for the T5Z.) It also comes with the Taylor original hard shell case. (not pictured)

This piece is in excellent condition. Notice no headstock dings. Some slight fretwear in the "cowboy chord" area, but plenty of fret left. I will include a new set of Elixir strings with it. Had a new battery back panel replaced a few years ago...pro tip: do NOT use Duracell 9V batteries in these guitars; they are fatter than other 9V batteries and ended up loosening the battery door to where it buzzed from vibration while playing. Stick with Energizer or other "slimmer" batteries.

This has hands-down been the guitar I pick up more than any other, especially for learning songs because you can get them down, then transition to either electric or acoustic. I talked my friend into buying one, and he said it is the best overall guitar investment he has made because he uses it so often...too bad, I could have sold him this one!

This is a great instrument. I might still end up keeping it and listing the T5Z, that's how much I like it...just harder to sell a guitar that approaches $3K, so I am listing this one first.

Lowball offers will be ignored. Cash only, in-person.
