This sax was made when Germany was split on the Eastern German side. Robert Keilwerth got stuck on that side and designed this sax with a Conn 10m bore and modern keywork. They feel as comfortable as a mark 6 but with a huge conn sound. JL Smith sold this model for 2400 dollars in 1993. They did not do well under reunification and went under in the 2000s sometime. They also made the Guardala line which has a slightly nicer table and those go for 3k.I overhauled it and played it a little. It polishes up great which at this price I'll leave to the new owner. Thanks for looking. I've included a few pics from my Air Force Band and civilian musician days. I owned a shop in town and also sold vintage winds prior to disability. Had I still had the shop this would be 2000 and it wouldn't last very long.
