Traditional piece of Celtic jewelry, features the thistle (Scotland's national emblem) often set on a stylized claymore sword motif. Metal is silver-tone, possibly pewter. The thistle a symbol of Scottish heraldry for over 500 years and represents bravery, strength, resilience and determination. Purple stone in the center often made from a unique material called Heathergems created from compressed, dyed heather stems or it may be an amethyst-colored stone. Often handmade in Scotland. The number 2242 appears on the back.
