Please join the Reef Aquarium Society of Charlotte for our April 13th meetin at Ronald McDonald House of Charlott, when RASOC is proud to welcome Larry DuPont of LRS Foods. We were one of the clubs that Larry spoke to when he was getting started in what has now become a very successful fish food business. There also will be a frag swap. Details will be in the official meeting post/thread. Hope that you will join us and learn more and your tank’s inhabitants needed nutrition.
Larry DuPont is the owner and founder of LRS Foods, LLC. Being an avid hobbyist with 600+ gallons of saltwater aquariums in his home Larry started looking for options to make his own food. He originally started making small batches of food to simplify feeding his own fish because thawing out so many other foods was a tedious chore
Nestled in the rolling hills of North Carolina LRS sources human-grade, fresh, chemical free seafood from the Carolina coast which their team processes into premium foods for saltwater aquariums. Originally founded in 2012 the food has been regarded as the “top shelf” fish food because of the high quality of ingredients, diverse nutrition and for being very clean. In addition the LRS “Frenzy” foods have aided over a dozen captive breeding projects which are showcased on the website. What started out as a small weekend food making project has blossomed into an internationally known brand sold in over 500 retailers in nine countries. In addition to the retail and consumer market LRS foods have crossed over to be favored in the aquaculture and public aquaria sector as well.
While on his journey to produce the most perfect reef foods for the hobby Larry has networked with top names in the industry to learn a TON of information about fish health, ingredients, supplements, probiotics, pigmentation enhancers, and more.
Please join us for a session while Larry shares his entrepreneurial journey and his knowledge about food selection, ingredients, storage, preparation, and feeding to help keep your fish the healthiest they can be.
