I am pleased to offer this Vintage Drop-Front Secretary Desk. These pieces were popular throughout the Victorian and early 20th-century eras for their dual function as both storage and a compact workspace. The main writing surface is a hinged "leaf" that drops down to provide a workspace. Behind the drop-front, there are small vertical and horizontal compartments, often referred to as "pigeonholes," used for organizing letters and small office supplies.The base includes three large drawers for general storage. With wooden pull knobs. This is pre-owned with several cosmetic imperfections. The finish is coming off the top. There are various scratches, dents, scrapes, and dings. Also some water rings and spots of discoloration. The bottom drawer is missing one pull knob This would be a good weekend project to refurbish and restore to its original luster.
