The Waterman, affectionately known as Sea Level's "kid cousin" is an approachable seafood and oyster bar located in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte. It's a casual neighborhood spot that specializes in great oysters, great drinks, and a great time.
This two-story location will offer fast-casual service and feature small plates, seafood baskets, and craft beer/cocktails. We are seeking passionate candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join our team. Seafood knowledge is a plus, but we will train and develop all staff to effectively work with our product.

Front Of House Positions: Host, Support Staff, Server, Bartender
-ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively within a team, anticipate and fill guest & team needs
-seeking candidates who are outgoing, organized, have excellent communication, and display creative problem-solving skills
-support staff is expected assist with light food prep & bar-backing
-ability to perform a mixture of Front and Back of House responsibilities
-seeking candidates who love working with food but also enjoy being face-to-face with Guests
-no shucking experience required, just a proven work-ethic and a love for learning and hospitality
Back of House Positions: Dish, Prep, Line Cooks
-seeking eager and energetic employees to fill various BOH roles
-ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions, properly operate and care for kitchen equipment, assist in cleaning kitchen area, and adhere to sanitation and safety standards
-culinary background with high volume experience preferred (Line Cook)
-experience in a scratch kitchen featuring fresh seafood is a plus (Line Cook)

Orientation and training will begin soon! Training will last for 2-5 days depending on position. The restaurant will open in October 2018. We'll be open for Dinner Service Monday - Friday and Lunch & Dinner Saturday - Sunday.
THE WATERMAN layout involves both upstairs and downstairs dining/bar areas**:
-Front of House positions must be able to ascend/descend staircase while carrying food, drinks, and/or other items to service second level of restaurant.
-Bartenders, Support Staff, and some Back of House positions must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to access items from elevated storage space.
-Back of House positions must be able to continuously stand or walk, lift up to 30 pounds frequently, and squat occasionally.
