I am pleased to offer this Cast Iron Shoe Repair Stand. Also known as a cobbler's anvil or shoe last. It was used by shoemakers (cobblers) to shape, repair, or stretch shoes. The metal "foot" on top serves as a sturdy form that allows a cobbler to hammer on soles, attach heels, or repair leather without deforming the shoe's overall shape. It has been mounted to this sturdy wooden log to provide a stable, shock-absorbing platform for heavy hammering.
Modern Repurposing: Today, these are frequently collected as antique decor.
I am asking $125 OBO!!!!!!
