Have you been dreaming of flying, but think it's beyond your reach--financially or from a piloting skill standpoint? In my opinion, this model airplane is the best option because it is newer, requires less maintenance, and is easier to fly. If you're a seasoned pilot and you're tired of flying high and fast, the 701 is the most fun flying machine! Take off in less than 200 feet and you can safely fly at 1,000 feet AGL (low and slow).
I've owned this 2011 Zenith 701 Sky Jeep airplane for over 5 years, and I'm interested in sharing it with other flying enthusiasts. I'm using it to build hours toward the 1,500-hr. ATP cert. I may also begin to instruct for Sport Pilot rating, but that will be a few months down the road.
Notice in the images that the airplane has a BRS (Ballistic Recovery Systems) full airplane safety parachute. There are many other features that value this airplane more than an old Cessna or Piper, including the Rotax 912 ULS (100 Hp) engine, which has about 560 hours now. If you're looking for a glass cockpit, that adds a whole other dimension of cost. I've had good success with using the Merlin ADS-B with FlyQ, on my iPad. Got a new set of prop blades and hub recently. Maintenance is important, and I've developed numerous options and contacts to keep costs to a minimum. Landing lights were added and the covers you see in the images are included. Sandia transponder will couple with nee ADS-B out. We may also share ownership of headsets, ADS-B and Garmin GPS.
