This is a cast iron gypsy pot or caldron with an original reverse dimpled lid.
It is sometimes called a Bulge Pot.
The lid has a 3 and a 4 on opposite sides of the lid handle
The lid measures 7-1/4" wide
The bottom has three legs and has an embossed JTL with the T in the middle being larger.
That may translate to JLT but I am not sure.
Above the JTL symbol is 9-1/2
7" across the top
Roughly 11" tall
Very heavy.
All three handles are in good shape.
Hairline crack on the bottom near a foot.
I doubt this would be good to cook in as it is a bit rusty on the inside.
I had to paint the bottom black.
The sides and top are just wire brushed and oiled with mineral oil
This is a CASH only deal for $45.
Richfield is easy to find on Highway 49, just 28 miles east of the UNCC main entrance.
