A leading college admissions consultancy, needs more freelance editors to serve our rapidly growing client base.
You must have a computer and be able to check your email at least twice daily. You must also have strong self-management skills and an obsession with detail.
The job entails proofreading and editing client application essays -- you won't be writing them, just editing. This is a part-time contract job.
Requirements:
1. Degree in English or another major with strong emphasis on English writing (journalism, literature, etc.) preferred.
2. Graduate of a major public university or other Top 20 U.S. college.
3. Experience in proofreading and editing.
4. Graduate degree (MA/MS/MBA/JD) a plus.
5. Knowledge of the U.S. university application process at undergraduate, graduate, and/or doctorate levels.
6. Ability to meet deadlines without exceptions.

Compensation: Compensation is $16 per 250 words; for some editors, that translates into approximately $25/hour.
