My brother is a very great person, and he is looking for a room and to help someone in need. He really is the embodiment of a conscientious Howard Sprague from The Andy Griffith Show, and at this time after his divorce, he Needs a Room.
My brother was born to help older folks with their daily living. If fact, he has basically been doing this all his life. In law school 26 years ago, he lived with an older lady in her home, and she was very attached to him and sang his praises often.
He is now 55, a non smoker, with never a problem. He is a great intellectual nerd! Never any problem whatsoever with drugs or drinking. I am an attorney, and so is he. He has no pets, and has to my knowledge never had a traffic ticket for Pete's Sake. He is a very clean and humble person. His reliability is 100 percent – and has been for years. He is the squarest person I know, and he does what he says and agrees to do to a fault.
My elderly aunt loved him to the ends of the earth, and he lived with her and took incredible care of her before she passed away at almost 90. After she passed away, he met and fell in love with a younger girl, got married, got taken advantage of, and then divorced. Now he needs a place to be himself and help someone, which seems to be his life’s calling. He truly truly is like Howard Sprague on The Andy Griffith Show!
He is an attorney, and very smart, but he is NOT a hard driving titan of business by any means. He earns very little practicing law, and generally works nearly for free just helping people.
That’s his problem (or maybe his blessing). He would rather play a good game of checkers and spend time taking care of the house than go to court or earn the big dollars practicing law. He believes in the simple life, and helping others and practicing the Golden Rule.
He is so low key that sometimes I wonder if he has a pulse! However, he is as healthy as a horse, strong and smart. He knows the law very well and is truly a brilliant man – he is just does not have a competitor type of mind. I know, because I am the opposite. I am a hard driving, money making attorney myself. If we were dogs, he would be the floppy eared loyal Bassett hound, and I would be the Pit Bull. I am 9 years younger, and he is so relaxed and healthy that I am sure that he will live to be 100, and one of my pall bearers at my funeral.
My brother needs a good room sharing arrangement in the Charlotte area, preferably near to I-77. I would suspect that it would be perfect for someone who is kind and lonely, who could use a great companion and smart man around the house keeping an eye out from any problems - and one who is honest and loyal.
He has his own car, and is very dependable. His is also incredibly honest to a fault. Being an attorney, he is held to a very high standard of honesty and fidelity. And he is the absolute poster child of these qualities.
Who ever catches him at the right time will have an incredible find and friend for many years.
To me, an elderly person who has the house space and who wants to essentially "adopt" a very kind, dependable, healthy 55 year old son who is loyal as the day is long should write me a line at my email address below. I will look at the responses and get back to you.
He has been basically living with me and my family up here at Lake Norman for a while, and this is not what he needs to be his best. What he needs is to be with someone who could use a very kind, gentle, soft-spoken intellectual man around the house. He can do crossword puzzles and help others keep their minds exercised, all at a professional level. My wife thinks that he should design crossword puzzles!
He is not an oaf by any means, and his conversation is extremely witty and clever.
A Room in Charlotte or Near I-77 north would be the best.

My brother should write this ad himself, but he is and has been out all week helping someone, for free! People really love him - but he just doesn't make very much money with the way he is, and he seems very happy just to make ends meet and work helping people.
