Our Charlotte, NC office is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the hawkeye team.

Position Description:
The System Administrator will work as part of a team and will have oversight and perform duties on a wide range of server and system infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, he/she will assume ownership of technical projects and work with other members of the team for completion. A broad skill-set will be needed to be successful in our very diverse technology-based company.
Specific Job Functions
• Build, Maintain, and support Windows OS servers
• Maintain hardware and support of a medium size Microsoft Exchange deployment
• Provide proactive examination to server and infrastructure for curtaining issues and mitigating outages
• Install and maintain large scale deployment of a monitoring software solution to provide ready notification of outages
• Primary responsibility and oversight of a medium size Net Backup farm
• Monitor, catalog and develop action plans based on server and network log files
• Participate in annual budget planning for capital infrastructure
• Work closely with management to achieve team and department goals
• Conduct preventative maintenance to facilities, network gear, and phone equipment
• Provide strategic planning for upgrades or equipment changes
• Execute security and virus protection methods
• Install and Troubleshoot IIS (Web) and SQL database servers
• Stage all new / upgraded equipment for installation and testing before

Qualifications:
• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS related degree (or equivalent technical college degree) or at least 3-5 years experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Broad knowledge of hardware, Microsoft operating systems and applications software
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent technical problem solving skills

• Veritas Net Backup - Veritas Backup Exec
• 3Com Voice over IP - DHCP Server
• Windows 2000 Server - Windows 2000 Advanced Server - SAS
• Windows XP - Microsoft SQL Server
• Windows NT 4.0 Workstation - TCP/IP
• Microsoft Office 2000 - Cisco VPN
• Microsoft Visio - Netbios over TCP/IP
Certifications (A Bonus)
• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), with certified testing in Microsoft Exchange
