Essential Duties:<br>
1.Ensure optimum customer service through the effective communication of policies and procedures to all associates.<br>
2. Promotes and manages a positive and productive work environment by working with the management team to provide clear communication and fair and timely evaluations of all staff.<br>
3. Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing the daily record of transactions for corporate, or performs work of associates as needed.<br>
4. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales and record-keeping procedures and practices<br>
5. Resolves customer's issues and inquiries.<br>
6. Develop and train existing staff on new programs and company initiatives<br>
7. Communicate and support company policies & procedures to maintain high associate morale and motivation, and create an atmosphere of teamwork.<br>
8. Assist in the development of sales, shortage, expense and profit goals.<br>
9. Available to work nights, weekends and Holidays.<br>

Requirements:<br>
Must Have 1 year sales experience as a retail associate, team leader, or supervisor in either a department store or specialty/gift store with a full understanding of First Class Customer Service. We are open 365 days/year. Positions require some nights, weekends, and holidays. High School Education or (GED)<br>

This includes merchandising, consumer counseling, store sets and construction of promotional materials. Consumer counseling responsibilities consist of educating our consumers and retail customers on the selection and use of Scotts products as appropriate. This role works closely with the Sales Merchandising Manager and store personnel to provide input & feedback on sales related issues, opportunities and inventory needs. <br>
- Merchandise Scotts products including: seasonal resets, restocking shelves, racks, and displays; cleaning and facing product; repairing or removing damaged items; re-labeling grass seed, etc. <br>
- Install and maintain point of purchase materials. <br>
- Provide recommendations and product knowledge to both consumers and retail customer associates. <br>
- Assemble fixtures and displays in-store. <br>
- Provide consumer counseling sessions including lawn and garden educational clinics, promotional events and in-aisle consumer education as needed. <br>
- Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner. (i.e. time sheets, surveys etc.) <br>
- Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment and report incidents to Safety/Management in a timely fashion. <br>

INSTALLER<br>

The primary focus of this position is to complete projects as a member of a multi-employee team. The actual job responsibilities will vary for each project. The list below provides an outline of the typical duties for project work for the Installer position. Specific duties related to each project will be provided prior to the schedule date.<br>
<br>
Primary Job Responsibilities:<br>
	Review each project packet prior to arriving at the retail location to perform the work.<br>
	Participate in any project specific training prior to arriving at the retail location to perform the work.<br>
	Complete specific project tasks as assigned by the Install Lead.  Such as:<br>
	Assemble and install fixtures and displays;<br>
	Set up and reconfigure products in accordance with plan-o-grams or schematics; and<br>
	Assist other team members with assigned tasks.<br>
	Report any issues that arise during the project to the Install Lead.<br>
	Maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees and customers.<br>
<br>
Position Requirements:<br>
	Must be able to read and understand plan-o-grams.<br>
	Must be able to read and understand basic wiring schematics and instructions.<br>
	Must complete internal certification programs.<br>
	Must have basic carpentry skills.<br>
	Must have good communication and customer service skills.<br>
	Prior installation experience a plus.<br>
	Must be 18 years or older.<br>
	Must have reliable transportation.<br>
	Must have a valid drivers license and automobile insurance.<br>
	Must have daily internet access.<br>
	Must have basic tools.<br>
	Must possess the ability to work alone or as a member of a team<br>
	Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.<br>

Select Media Services, a leading distributor for book and magazine publishers, delivering to over 7,500 specialty retailers throughout the U.S., currently has an opening for a part-time Merchandiser to service numerous drug chain locations in the following cities:<br>

Charlotte, Huntersville, Davidson, Burnsville, NC<br>

JOB DESCRIPTION<br>
<br>
&gt;This position is ideal for an experienced merchandiser looking to add additional hours to their schedule.  Hours and compensation are dependent on the number of stores serviced by the merchandiser.  Salary is paid on an hourly rate. Stores need to be serviced monthly and quarterly depending on the store.  <br>
<br>
&gt;Candidates must have reliable transportation necessary for local travel.<br>
<br>
&gt;Stores must be serviced during their normal day time business hours of Monday  Friday.<br>
<br>
&gt;Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involve stooping, walking, bending, searching for items and standing for long periods of time.<br>
<br>
&gt;Preferred that candidate have access to email and be able to respond to regular communications.<br>
<br>
&gt;Specific tasks include: merchandising books and magazines, returning magazines on a weekly basis, calling into the IVR system and working with store management.<br>
<br>
&gt;Ideal candidate should be responsible, provide great customer service and be able to work well independently with minimal supervision.  <br>
<br>
&gt;As a part-time merchandiser you will be able to participate in our merchandiser benefit program after 90 days of employment that includes medical, prescription drug, dental & vision.<br>
<br>

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager on duty in handling the daily responsibilities of running the sales floor.  The Floor Supervisor must help create a customer service environment by motivating the sales staff, communicating daily goals, assisting management in operational functions and providing the leadership necessary to attain all goals.  Some of the expectations of the position include but are not limited to the following:      <br>
<br>
Customer Service<br>
	Monitors floor to maintain a sales orientated environment<br>
	Provides each associate with personal daily sales goals<br>
	Motivates sales staff by setting a positive example at all times<br>
	Utilizes daily sales planner and Figure 8s to monitor floor activities and ensure proper floor coverage<br>
	Functions as an effective Sales Team Leader<br>
	Ensures customer service standards are being maintained by Sales Associates<br>
	Possesses a knowledge of sales plans and goals and helps communicate them to the sales staff<br>
	Helps create a positive and upbeat store environment<br>
	Monitors hourly sales and conversion rates and communicates their significance to the sales staff<br>
	Proactively greets all customers <br>
	Displays an awareness of store sales plan<br>
	Maintains an outgoing, friendly, helpful and upbeat manner<br>
	Displays energy and excitement<br>
	Shows self motivation to begin and complete tasks<br>
	Works to build repeat customers by adding names to the store mailing list                                                                                                                                                                                          <br>
	Communicates clearly and effectively to customers information on quality, fit, fabric, price, value, style and care<br>
	Provides exceptional Customer Service in the fitting room (Ex: Escorting customer to a room, getting different sizes and keeping rooms neat and organized)<br>
	Provides exceptional customer service at the cash register <br>
	Communicates to associates the importance of servicing customers over completing assigned tasks                                                                                                                                                                                         <br>
Operations<br>
	Performs the following register functions: sales, returns, exchanges, charge sends, employee sales<br>
	Performs Opening and Closing functions as needed <br>
	Supervises Sales Associates at the cash wrap<br>
	Understands and communicates to sales associates all company policies and procedures as outlined in the associate handbook <br>
