POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Piping Stress Engineer/Analyst is a fully qualified professional in piping / pipe stress analysis experience, proficient in the utilization of piping / pipe stress engineering theories and practices. The Piping Stress Engineer/Analyst shall be proficient in the use of the Caesar II software program, including specific application of static and dynamic analysis for seismic load conditions. PDS, SmartPlant Review, and Microstation experience is preferred, but not required. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel is required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs pipe stress of piping systems in accordance with ASME, ANSI B31.3 code requirements using Caesar II software program.
Performs analysis of nozzle loads / stress on vessels using WRC 107/297 capability of Caesar II program.
Prepares engineering computations and analyses, inc.
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings and computer models and able to coordinate the design of unique pipe supports as required.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines and other departments.
Ability to prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials is preferred, but not required. Ability to review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses is preferred, but not required.
